…HIGH WIND WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM PST MONDAY…

* TIMING…STRONG SOUTH TO SOUTHEAST WINDS WILL DEVELOP THIS EVENING AHEAD OF A VIGOROUS FRONT. THE WINDS WILL SWITCH OUT OF THE WEST BEHIND THE FRONT LATER TONIGHT AND EARLY MONDAY MORNING. WINDS WILL SLOWLY EASE MONDAY AFTERNOON.

* WIND…INCREASING FROM THE SOUTH TO SOUTHEAST AT 25 TO 40 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 60 MPH THIS EVENING…THEN SWITCHING TO WESTERLY AT 35 TO 45 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 70 MPH. WINDS WILL SLOWLY EASE MONDAY AFTERNOON.

* IMPACTS…HIGH WINDS CAN TOPPLE TREES…DOWN POWER LINES OR POLES…AND DAMAGE PROPERTY. THE HIGH WINDS WILL LIKELY CAUSE SOME POWER OUTAGES…THUS RESIDENTS SHOULD BE PREPARED.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A HIGH WIND WARNING MEANS DAMAGING WINDS OF AT LEAST 40 MPH AND/OR GUSTS OF 58 MPH OR HIGHER ARE IMMINENT OR OCCURRING.
