“Triangle” Garden along Center Road at Little Quilcene River
This unassuming triangular piece of Center Road frontage in Quilcene was until recently a parking lot for abandoned vehicles, boats and trailers. This was the original Center Road crossing over the Little Quilcene River. This property was purchased very recently and donated to the Quilcene Historical Museum!
Looking south down Center Road. The Quilcene Historical Museum is about 1/16th of a mile down on the right.
BELOW: This area was where most of the boats and trailers sat. It is now being developed into a native-plants garden by the Quilcene Beautification team.
Looking north up Center Road. East Quilcene Road intersection is at right.
Various small native shrubs and ferns have been planted here.
Beautiful view of The Little Quilcene River, looking west
Looking east at the modern Center Road overcrossing that replaced the old one in the Triangle garden.
Thanks to the Beautification team members for coming out to help the transformation of this pretty place! Thanks also to Mary Schmidt for the delious cookies and hot coffee, what a treat.
